...soon!
(05-09-09 @ 36 weeks)
I can't believe in less than 2 weeks I will be able to hold my baby. 2 weeks from yesterday is the longest amount of time I'll have to wait...but it's not looking like it's gonna be that long.
Contractions have started...nothing regular or significant yet, but definitely starting.
We went in on Tues. to check to see if my water was leaking...false alarm.
Today at my NST (Non-Stress Test) my blood pressure shot up for a while, but then I laid on my side and it went back to normal, but my protein and keytones were up some. So we're doing the 24 hour collection again and I have to go in on Saturday to have it checked and have another NST...if the collection results are elevated (this would be a sign that pre-eclampsia is trying to rear it's ugly head again) the doc says we will be having a baby.
We are praying for me to go into labor not go the pre-eclampsia route. If I have pre-eclampsia we will be going c-section for sure, but if I go into labor then we're gonna try for a normal birth. I really want to avoid the c-section if at all possible (doc does too) because we are both worried about my recovery afterwards with my weight. But of course we will do whatever is best for baby.
So, anyone who wants to join us in praying for no pre-eclampsia, normal birth, safe baby, & also that the baby is no longer breech. (This little monkey wrench would mess up the whole plan. At my ultrasound at 35 weeks he was breech, but he has been squirming around and babies do turn at the end some times. So I am not as concerned about that as the rest of it.)
Most of all...I just want him out...safe and sound so I can hold him.
